WPL Music was founded by Giles Woodhead, who is Managing Director of the company today. In 2015 Ian Martin joined and leads touring and production for a number of the company’s clients.
Started in 1992 and incorporated in 1997, WPL Music is proud to have worked with some of the world’s leading artists, music industry players and corporate brands since then. Based in the South-East of England we are ideally placed for London and the whole of the UK
Giles graduated from university in 1992 and went straight into the live music industry. We have directed and managed all aspects of touring during Jess Glynne’s remarkable rise to be the pop superstar she is today. Today we work with a crew of 40, and deliver arena-size tours and major slots at the biggest international festivals – and we’re proud to have been part of this journey to success.
We were contracted to manage Catfish’s tours from an early stage in their rise to fame. We manage all aspects of the tour including crew, production, and input to the creative process. We’re proud to have been responsible for the 14ft polystyrene alligator that was suspended over the stage during their 2016 tour, to match the artwork for their album, The Ride.
